I’m as much a sucker as the next Gen Z for Tiktok shop, but with every other video being an ad it’s hard to tell what products are worth the hype. Well, I’m here to give you an unbiased opinion of every beauty product I’ve purchased off the site and tell you whether I think they’re worth the buy based on my experience.
Beaconsfield Whitening Strips
My biggest fear with whitening strips was that they would make my already sensitive teeth worse. That wasn’t the case with these whitening strips, but did they do anything at all? I can’t deny that my teeth looked slightly whitened but I noticed the effect was very patchy. This could be user error but I did try my best to apply the strips to all of the nooks and crannies in my teeth. Does it whiten? Yes. Would I buy again? Probably not.
Nature Spell Hair Oil
At the age of 17 I had an extreme load of hair loss, before that, I naturally had very thick hair, and since then I have grown my hair back but not to the same level. I also since then have experienced short periods of hair loss when I’m stressed. This oil plus a couple of other things worked a treat. If you have damaged hair and want to give it a bit of shine and repair then using this serum consistently before a hair wash does work. I also purchased the applicator recently and it actually does make it a lot easier to apply the oil. Overall, it is worth it.
Glow For It Lash Serum
Another growth serum. I don’t know if I’m gaslighting myself but I do seriously think this stuff works. The advertising that it won’t give you that red line on your eyelid like other serums is a lie though, it definitely makes my lash line go red on my eyelid, but it hasn’t changed my eye color which others have been rumored to do. Despite the redness I would actually splash out to buy it again.
Wonderskin Lip Stain
Okay, this stuff seemed too good to be true and it kind of was. Firstly, it does not peel off satisfyingly like I see it do for people online. Secondly, to get it off therefore have to use a wet wipe and that will in fact wipe the colour off. I got the popular shade ‘whimsical’, it looks good if I have slept in the stain overnight but otherwise, there is little colour payoff, and as I said it does wear off throughout the day. My biggest woe with this product is that unless you have perfectly soft and nourished lips, it applies patchy and unevenly. I was hoping that this product would resolve the issue I have with typical lipstick not applying properly near the center of my lips, it unfortunately didn’t. I don’t hate the product, I will continue to use it, when it applies properly the colour is good, but I most likely won’t buy it again. Most certainly overhyped.
Nature Spell Advanced Under Eye Serum
Now, I like using this product, it smells delicious, but does it actually brighten my under eyes? I can’t really tell, to be honest, and for that reason, I won’t be buying again but for the price, I won’t deter you from buying it either. If you do let me know if you have a better experience with it.
